O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A

Oklahoma, where the wind comes sweeping down the plains. And the snow, and rain, and ice, and the heat and sometimes earthquakes.  In other words there is no way to prepare for what might happen in one Oklahoma day.

Since it is April, almost May, there is a couple ways to almost prepare. Aka, have a rain jacket handy.  We all know the saying April showers bring May flowers. Ain't that the truth!  I love rain and thunderstorms though. To me there is nothing more relaxing.

I also love the green.  It is just so appealing to the eye for everything around you to be so green and lushes.

One thing to watch out for this time of year though are the tornadoes.  You can never know exactly when and where a tornado might happen.  So, the best thing to do is keep an eye on the news.  If you have ever experienced, or been anywhere close to one you know that it bring absolute destruction and devastation.

Another thing that comes along with all the rain we get is flood waters. I don't think people take this seriously, but they need to.  Flood waters may not look high, but you should never drive into them even if you think you can.  Hundreds of people die each year because of flood water, including a man I use to work with and his family.

So keep an eye out people, and never under estimate the power of mother nature.

Here Comes the Bride

College is prime time for your friends to get engaged.  I don't know what it is about senior year of college and people getting engaged, but let me tell you it's crazy.

When your life comes to this point and all your friends call you to tell you the happy news, act excited! Even if you totally think it's so stupid, they're your friend and they need you to be there and be excited with them.

And if you get the privilege to be a bridesmaid, just do what the bride tells you to do.  This time in her life is really stressful and she has tons of other stuff to deal with besides the wedding.  So if she says go get your bridesmaid dress altered, just do it.

If you aren't in the wedding that doesn't mean that you can't help too.  If weddings are totally your thing, ask what you can do to help.  Even if its a small thing like sending of wedding invitations, it all helps in the long run.

If worse comes to worse, at least you learned a little about what goes into a wedding so some day you can be a little but more prepared for yours.

True love never dies

Just do You

I can't tell you enough to just be yourself.  College is so much different than high school was.  This is the time to really find yourself and the people that you want to call your friends for the next four years.

The one thing about college that is so different it people don't judge you as much.  Of course there's always going to be those people who stare at you weird if your just not their type of person, but who cares!  Flip 'em off.

If you do run into those type of people they probably just need to learn to get over themselves.  Which is hopefully what they'll learn during their college career. Cause no matter how much they think they are so much better than you, their not.

So spread those pretty little wings of yours and fly! I mean this is probably the first time for most to not live with their parents.  Yeah its going to be stressful learning how to be on your own, but that's really part of the experience.

Get 'er done!

As we all know the end of the semester is coming up. And that means none other than FINALS. I think every college student will agree that this is definitely the worst time of the year.

Not only do you have a million tests to take, but your professors also lay a whole bunch of paper and group projects on you too. And it just SUCKS!

The only way to really deal with this is organize. Organize everything my friends.  I mean write it down in a planner, on a dry erase calendar, on your computer desktop, anywhere you will be able to remind yourself what all you have to do so you won't forget.  Nothing looks worse than not turning in your homework on time.  I mean come on this is college.

I know some of you might think it is more stressful to have to look at what you have to so all the time, but it honestly helps me get things done.  When you have even a little spare time work on something that needs to be completed.

All in all, hopefully, you will get all your finals over with and you will have a carefree summer.  So if you need some motivation just think about that sunshine.

Good luck my friends!

XOXO

On the Move... again

Lets just start of by saying I move.... A lot.  Since my first year of college which was four years ago I have moved SIX times! And that's not even half of it.  I moved many more times too when I was younger.  And no my parents aren't in the military.

And if six times isn't enough, I'm moving here in a months too.  This time it's a big leap, because I'm moving in with my lovely boyfriend!

Now, I have to say that I am a little nervous.  I think if you're not nervous to move in with your significant other for the first time in your life than something must be wrong.

My main thing is going to be getting use to not having my own space.  I mean for now were are going to move into an apartment, so there will be no getting away from each other.  Not that I'm an only child or anything and need that much space, but I will say I am a MAJOR introvert.

Even though I am nervous, I'm still really excited.  It's really going to show how much we love each other and if we can handle each other for the rest of our lives. If ya know what I mean.

I think college is a great time to experience this if you are ready.  I wouldn't recommend that every couple move in together at such a young age, but ours is just happening that way.

Wish us luck!

I'm on the move again!
